I. FUNCTIONS , DUTIES AND POWERS
1 . Function :
- Department of Science and Technology, Dong Nai Province are specialized agencies of the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province People's Committee in performing the function of State management of scientific activities and technologies , potential development of science and technology on all economic sectors - social standards of quality measurement products , goods , intellectual property ( copyright does not include literature , art, and trademarks ) ; radiation safety radiation and nuclear science and information technology in the province of Dong Nai release under state law and the provisions of the PPC .

2 . Duties:

- Develop and promulgate the PPC policy mechanisms to encourage organizations and individuals at home and abroad scientific research and technology development , market development of science and technology , widely used in the science and technology locally and decided to support the economic organizations and individuals in the application of high technology , new techniques in production and life ;
- Coordinate with other departments and agencies of the Provincial People's Committee programs , planning , development planning , management mechanism and effective use of the scientific and technological training , fostering customer year for officials of the provincial science and technology , construction , organization and operation of laboratory activities serve the province's socio -economic , investment and infrastructure equipment for science activities learning and technology , testing and application of advanced science and technology , information science and materials technology ;

- Manage the operational initiatives , protection of intellectual property rights in accordance with law and the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology ;

- Unity and responsible management of radiation safety and nuclear :
. Organization of radiation safety evaluation and licensing using X -ray equipment for medical use ;
. Organization report , periodical statistical radioactive sources , radiation equipment , radioactive waste and radiation activities locally ;
- Develop a plan prevention , troubleshoot and nuclear radiation locally . Guide radiation facilities and nuclear development and implementation of plans to prevent , combat and overcome the consequences of nuclear radiation incidents .
- Consult PPC direction and guidance DPC , towns and provincial cities to perform the tasks of state management of science and technology , the standard measure of product quality , intellectual property , radiation safety and information science and technology .
- Inspection and examination of law enforcement , resolve disputes , complaints and denunciations and handle violations of the laws of science and technology , the standard measure of product quality , intellectual property Property and radiation safety as prescribed by law .
- State management of the activities of the Society and non-governmental organizations in the field of state management of the Department as prescribed by law .
- Statistics and resource management of science and technology in the province in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Science and Technology .
