Over 5,600 scholarships to poor students to be granted

The Provincial Study Encouragement Association said in the past 2010-2011academic year, the Study Encouragement Association at all levels in the province granted over 5,600 scholarships to poor students, including more than 5,500 ones to poor students and over 100 ones to local students who are studying at universities located in and outside the country.

In the first six
months of 2011, although it is not the peak season of study encouragement, the
province-based localities have organized many meaningful activities to promote
teaching movement in schools and at local. On the occasion of the end of the
school year, many localities have praised and rewarded teachers and students for
their good achievements. In the last academic year, the whole province had 3,183
teachers and 29,962 students awarded. In addition, over 14 thousand gifts were
given to students suffering from specially difficult circumstances but studying
well.
