Nearly 500 “Giving Strength to Students” Scholarships for Children of Agent Orange Victims

The Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin said that 486 student turns who are victims and children of agent orange victims in the whole province were granted “Giving Strength to Students” scholarships with the total amount of nearly VND656million in two academic years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.

It is known that
the scholarship program has been carried out since 2009 to enable the
province-based victims and children of Agent Orange victims to go to school and
encourage their community integration . In two past academic years, the “Giving
Strength to Students” scholarship program was undertaken by the Anco International Agro Nutrition Company and the Department
of Education and Training. In addition to this scholarship, the Provincial
Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin has been supporting six
university students who are children of agent orange with VND3mil to 9mil per
year.
