According to the Provincial
Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, the campaign has basically met the
urgent demand for blood at the provincial hospitals during summer when the blood
bank is facing serious shortage because pupils and students are on vacation.
With "The Red Drops of Blood” campaign in the 2010 summer, the Provincial
Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation targeted to 4,000 units of
blood. Eventually, it received 5,000 units of blood, exceeding both planned
targets and targets of Vietnam Red Cross (4800 units of blood).
