Dengue Fever Keeps Growing

Director of the Provincial Center for Prevention Medicine Cao Trong Nguong says the province is currently documenting 2,500 cases of dengue fever that causes five deaths.

Some localities with highest rate of dengue include Xuan Loc (250 cases), Long Thanh (319 cases), etc. Director of Dong Nai Children’s Hospital Nguyen Le Thanh Da says the number of dengue fever cases increasingly grows, giving the hospital ten to 15 cases a day. According to the provincial prevention medicine sector, weather this year comes favorable; however, the disease turns out complicated. Health sector plans to continue its mosquito larva killing campaign and chemical spray against the disease in the coming months.
