Occurs 872 industrial accidents in 2006

Response to the 9th national week of sanitary safety in work, fire prevention and fighting, from the beginning of March 13 to 27, Dong Nai interdisciplinary supervision team presided by Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Welfare will do a checking of missions of sanitary safety in work, fire prevention and fighting at 40 enterprises in the area.

 

According to statistics of 360 per 5.905 provincial agencies, it occurred 872 industrial accidents caused 881 casualties. They are consisted of 57 serious-injured people, 30 cases which caused 31 fatalities and damaged to 2.6 billion and 11.416 working days. In the year, there are also 47 firing accidents (decrease 2 compared to 2005) which caused 4 fatalities, 3 injuries, damaged to 25.939 billion. Mostly, firing accidents happened in residential areas, 1 occurred in foreign-capital invested enterprise.     

To those, there are also 5.881 industrial accidents in the whole country that caused 6.088 serious injuries, 536 fatalities, 1.142 serious injuries, and damaged properties to 50.45 billion. 

 Before the complex development of industrial accidents, requirements of national week of sanitary safety in work, fire prevention and fighting in 2007 are toward to directly-produced units; attract employers, employees and people to attend. The aims of this week, this year as well are improving working conditions to prevent industrial accidents, occupational diseases in manufacture, construction; reduce accidents of power matters, pesticide poisoning
