More than 4,200 cases of HFMD found

At the briefing meeting, Director of the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine Cao Trong says at the time the province has found 4,230 cases of HFMD, out of which 19 are dead.

Localities with a large number of cases found is the city of Bien Hoa (1475 cases, 10 deaths), Trang Bom district (642 cases, 3 deaths), Xuan Loc district (267 cases); Long Khanh (279 cases) and Long Thanh district (219 cases), etc. The epidemic prevention work in the province has recently been paid much close attention by authorities of all levels. The Center for Preventive Medicine has formed two inspection groups, examining the prevention of epidemic at the local level, thereby noting that the epidemic prevention is actively implemented; however, in some areas, many nurseries do not pay attention to it; children are not asked to wash their hands before having meals. Provincial preventive health sector has also provided localities with Chloramines B for disinfection in nurseries, kindergartens.
