Dong Nai Takes Great Effort to Gain 16,000 Units of Donor’s Blood in 2010

According to Dong Nai Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation, in 2009, the province had 14,548 units of donor’s blood, making up 121.3% planed target. In 2010, the Standing Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation sets a target to have 16,000 units of blood donated. Accordingly, the committee will encourage donation to reach and exceed the target proposed, offering donor’s blood to hospitals in the province and Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital.

Accordingly, the provincial Red
Cross plans to foster the propaganda about donor’s blood, especially in summer
and Tet, etc. and balance the collected blood distribution; strengthen
propagandist forces and voluntary donor clubs; and held training courses on
selecting blood donors, propaganda about blood donation in districts, town and
city, Rubber Corp., and schools across the province.
