Hospital staffs are practicing hand-washing in a proper way. |

At
the ceremony, a lot of useful knowledge concerning the matter of daily
hand-washing among doctors, staffs and those working in hospitals is given
including introduction to hand hygiene, required methods of washing hands, and
instructions on hand washing procedure under a normal rule. Addressing at the
ceremony, Dr. Phan Huy Anh Vu, Ph.D, said that health staffs having to take care
of patients every day are likely to be exposed to highly infectious diseases.
The development of a bacterial contamination control program in the hospital has
shown signs of effectiveness in that it helps to decrease the level of disease
contraction and risks of potentially infectious factors for both patients and
health staffs.
At
the ceremony, representatives of the units in the hospital sign a commitment to
respond to the hand-washing week. Besides, all the staffs in the hospital
participated in a riddle competition with prizes about the knowledge related to
proper hand-washing techniques.
Not only does the campaign take place in one week but it also continues in the
following weeks with a lot more exciting and various activities like intense
training and education on hand-washing, improvement of hand-washing means,
supervision of the campaign realization and report to the Steering Committee and
so forth.
