Due to the propaganda about
population and family planning, Bien Hoa city has so far decreased its natural
population growth rate from 2.15% in 2009 to 1% this year, with annual average
growth rate of 0.064%. In 2009, rate of couple with their third child falls at
0.2%, compared with that of 2008.
By means of the service pack of
family planning, rate of couple using modern contraceptive methods hits 75%;
about 12 thousand women have checked their fetuses, vaccinated tetanus and taken
iron pills, etc.
In addition to the propaganda,
encouragement campaigns in the locality are attached great importance and
synchronously carried out, such as: organizing 230 workshops in groups on the
theme of population, video shows, hanging 800 posters, panels and banners,
issuing 1,300 leaflets and various documents and so forth.
