On the morning of June 26, the 1st Congress of Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association (2009-2014) took place at the hall of the provincial Party Committee. The Congress was attended by Mr. Thetlakhone Douangsonthi – Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh city, Mr. Tran Minh Phuc – Member of the provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien – Member of the provincial Standing Party Committee and Chairwoman of Dong Nai province’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and more than 190 delegates who are the members of the Association.
 
In the country’s welcoming atmosphere to celebrate the anniversary of Vietnam Family Day (June 26), Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism collaborated with the Children’s House of Dong Nai province in holding its Cultural Family Festival 2009 on the morning of June 28. The festival was attended by Ms. Huynh Thi Nga, Vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and 33 typical families selected from the communes and wards across the province.
 
On the morning of May 26, 275 young pioneers and pioneer leaders from eleven districts and towns attended the opening ceremony of the contest “An excellent young pioneer leader" for the 2008-2009 school year held by Dong Nai province's Young Pioneer Team Association in its Cultural and Sports Complex.
 
On the morning of May 27, the Steering Committee for 2009 summer vacation celebrated the opening ceremony in the province’s cultural and sports complex. The ceremony was attended by Vice chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee – Huynh Thi Nga and Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee – Nguyen Thi Kim Lien.
 
On the morning of May 27, the provincial Standing People’s Council held a one-year pre-summation meeting about the pilot program of increasing the operation quality of the delegate groups of the provincial People’s Council and their supervision quality. Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh – Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council chaired the meeting.
 
On the afternoon of May 28, the provincial People’s Committee summoned a regular meeting to endorse the report on the socio-economic situation in May and the estimated results in the first six months of the year and to produce solutions in the second six months of 2009. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee – Vo Van Mot chaired the meeting.
 
On June 9, the provincial People's Committee summoned a meeting to assess the socio-economic situation and national defence and security in May – 2009 and the estimated results of the first six months of 2009 and establish the plan goals in the remaining 6 months of the year. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee – Vo Van Mot presided over the meeting.
 
On the afternoon of June 17, the delegation of Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Vietnam Women's Union led by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Nguyen Duy Thang – had a working session with the leadership of the provincial People's Committee and had a talk on how the government’s Decree 19/2003/ND – CP has been implemented and how the responsibility is shared among all levels of administrative agencies with the intention of ensuring that all levels of Vietnam Women’s Union can participate in state management. Vice chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee – Huynh Thi Nga – met with and worked with the delegation.
 
On the morning of June 19, the provincce’s Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a pre-summation meeting for the first 6 months of the year and set its directions and tasks for the second 6 months of the year.
 
On the morning of May 22, Chairmain of the provincial People's Committee –Vo Van Mot chaired a conference between concerned departments and sectors, discussing the project of converting the province’s semi-public schools into public ones.
