On August 25, the delegation of the Commission for Social Issues held a meeting to seek for businesses’ ideas and advice on the enforcement of the Employment Law relating to female employees at the Industrial Zone Trade Union with the intention of preparing an amendment to a number of contents in the Employment Law early 2010.

On the morning of August 21, Dong Nai Veterans’ Association held the 4th Emulation Festival “Exemplary Veteran” (2005-2009). The festival was attended by Vice President of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association – Lieutenant General Le Thanh Tam, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Standing Party Committee – Le Hong Phuong, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee – Vo Van Mot, Heroic Vietnamese Mother – Tran Thi Hai and lots of the members of the Veterans’ Associations across the province.

According to the 10th “Good Study, Good Life” movement in 2009 launched by the Standing Committee of Dong Nai Labor Union, 141 children representing 9,798 “Good Study, Good Life” examples from all parts of the province were commended at the commendation ceremony for the children of workers, civil servants, laborers and those who serve in armed forces on the morning of August 18.

On the afternoon of August 18, more than 700 youth volunteers representing more than 6,000 youths of the armed forces units, universities, colleges and secondary technical schools, who participated in the program – 2009 Summer Voluntary Youth Peak Month, were present at Tran Bien Temple of Literature. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Bui Ngoc Thanh – Member of the provincial Standing Party Committee and Head of the Commission for People Mobilization Work of the provincial Party Committee and Ms. Huynh Thi Nga – Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee.

On the morning of August 6, a periodic press conference called “Journalists’ Job and the Spokesperson’s Roles and Responsibilities in Dong Nai province” was held by Dong Nai People’s Committee in cooperation with the provincial Commission for Popularization and Education. The conference was co-chaired by Mr. Huynh Van Toi – Head of the provincial Commission for Popularization and Education, Ms. Huynh Thi Nga – Vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Dung – Standing Member of the provincial People’s Council. Mr. Dao Van Lung – Deputy Head of the Southern Department of Press and Publications attended the conference.

On the morning of August 7, Dong Nai Department of Education and Training organized the 2008-2009 summation meeting, commended brilliant students and started to carry out the tasks in the 2009-2010 school year. Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee – Huynh Thi Nga attended and addressed the meeting.

On the morning of August 2, the ground-breaking ceremony of the National Road 51 construction and extension project under the BOT method from Km0+900 to Km73+600 was held at Km11+000 in Long Thanh district. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hoang Trung Hai – Member of the Central Party Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan – Member of the Central Party Committee and Construction Minister, Mr. Ho Nghia Dung – Member of the Central Party Committee and Transport Minister, Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung – Member of the Central Party Committee and President of Vietnam Labor Federation, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Minh – Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Party Committee, Mr. Truong Van Tiep – Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of Long An Party Committee, Mr. Tran Van Vinh – Vice chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee, the leadership from the departments, committees and sectors of Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces and Ho Chi Minh city and the local government leadership from the regions which the Road passes through.

On the morning of August 5, the 12th national conference called “Some selective problems of information technology and communications” officially opened at Lac Hong University. The conference was attended by Prof. and Dr. Banh Tien Long – Standing Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Associate Prof. and Dr. Tran Thi Ha – Head of the Department of University Education, Mr. Ao Van Thinh - Vice chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee and scientists, managers and IT engineers from all parts of the country.

On the morning of August 5, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Children’s Patron Fund organized an exchange program with the children who have undergone a heart surgery. The program is called “Resuscitated hearts”. Vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee – Huynh Thi Nga – attended the get-together.
