The scientists from Ho Chi Minh City expressed their enthusiasm by giving ideas about the provincial science and technology.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Science and Technology - Dr. Pham Van Sang reported to Secretary of the Committee about the development of science and technology in the province in recent years, including the renovation, building scientific and technological infrastructure; promoting science and technology research and application associated with the mission of socio-economic development of the province. Dr. Pham Van Sang also stated that some existing difficulties must be resolved, and he recommended provincial leaders to remove difficulties in order to continue to make science and technology become a provincial development motivation. At the meeting, scientists from Ho Chi Minh City have contributed many enthusiastic ideas, with a desire to enforce the program of scientific and technological application which is being deployed in the province. 

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Committee, highly evaluated the recent results of science and technology research and application in the province. He also appreciated the enthusiastic contributions of scientists from Ho Chi Minh City. For the orientation of scientific and technological development in the future, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noticed everyone to pay attention to promoting the development of potential science and technology by focusing on research and applications in top fields such as agriculture and rural areas, especially green science and technology. There is a need to pay attention to key breakthrough in the development of science and technology that is biotechnology, training and attracting human resources for science and technology sector. Secretary of the provincial Party Committee said that he would soon recommend to the Central Government to remove barriers to scientific and technological research and application such as difficult mechanism and procedures.
