In 2008, whilst the
emphasis and reinforcement on the organization system were facilitated to
improve its vital role in economic and social life, the Union also enlarged its
promulgation of science and technology mainly applied for population health care
and protection, environmental preservation and waste treatment. On the other
hand, it also put forward the research and development of scientific projects.
Currently, two projects “Gathering and upholding the potentials of the intellect
till 2010 and due by 2020” and “Facts and solutions to enhancing the management
of science and technology at district level in Dong Nai province by 2015, with a
vision towards 2020”, have been approved by the council of science and will be
put into practice in 2009. Additionally, the opponent consultancy and social
assessment will take many critical concerns.
In the upcoming period,
to further elevate the representative role of the scientific and technological
intellect, and the role of social supervision and criticism, one of the Union’s
key roles is to focus on working on Provincial People’s Committee’s project for
modifying the governmental supports to the Union; to direct the Union’s
activities to concentrate on economic and social growth; endeavor to encourage
40% of the intellect to become the Union’s membership.
On this occasion, the
Union accepted 2 new members (Science Association that will help promote talent
human resource and Attorney Association). The total number of members is now
raised up to 23 associations (regardless of Animal Husbandry Association,
Jewelry Association that has been already dissolved).
