National Council for the National Quality Award assess its candidate’s capabilities

The National Council for the National Quality Award carried out evaluation of a candidate’s capabilities on October 5. They had a meeting with the Software Development Center Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (the unit nominated for the gold prize in the National Quality Award this year) to verify and clarify information in its self-assessment report under the seven criteria of the National Quality Award and assessment result of the primarily selecting council to have a basis for the Ministry of Science and Technology to submit to the Prime Minister for the gold prize in the National Quality Gold Award 2011.

At the meeting, the delegation conducted a on-site review of the center's manufacture, business activities and raised issues and questions for it to answer, concerning issues such as strategic orientation to products and key services of the center; 5-year results of its operations under the model of a self-accounting service unit; its application of advanced quality management models like ISO 9001 and ISO / IEC 27001; its market development orientation as well as how it mobilizes and uses human resources to carry out orders and develop new products; the level of its involvement in development and application of information technology in Dong Nai and science technology sector; its social responsibility and contributive activities to the community.
