2009 is the first year to deploy Vietnam National Quality according to Products and Goods Quality Law. This award is based on Vietnam Quality Award set up by Ministry of Science and Technology since 1995, which is part of Asia Pacific Quality Organization. The award is aimed at honoring enterprises gaining outstanding achievements in enhancing their competitive capability, quality and operation effectiveness.
The awards include gold and silver prizes. Eventually, in 2009, 11 enterprises won gold prizes, certificates of merits from the Prime Minister; 97 enterprises received silver prizes; 2 enterprises getting the international Asia-Pacific Quality Award were Vietnam Electric Cable Corporation (CADIVI), Petroleum Materials Joint-stock Company (Comeco).
This time, Dong Nai has 3 enterprises winning silver prizes, including VietinBank Dong Nai, the Software Development Centre – a public service unit of Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology and Tin Nghia One-member Limited Liability Co.
