The southern folk festival to be opened on August 17, 2006

This morning, August 16, the trade and tourism sector of Dongnai province hold a press conference to announce the content of southern folk festival to commemorate the 60th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Industry (November 26 1946 – November 26 2006)
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, chairperson of the Labor Union of Vietnam Trade and Tourism summarizes the course of establishment and development of the industry over the past 60 years. Previously, to commemorate this day the Trade and Tourism Ministry coordinated with Labor Union of Vietnam Trade and Tourism to launch a special emulation movement themed “To emulate to make achievements to celebrate the 10th Party Congress and 60th founding anniversary of Trade industry”. The main content of this emulation movement consists of a contest to learn about the Trade sector, folk festival held in the north, south and central region; sport festival held in Hanoi and neighboring provinces.
Tomorrow, the folk festival will be opened at the provincial Square with the participation of 21 teams in the south. The festival lasts for 2 days with the 90 performances. The Dongnai province has two teams consisting of Labor Union of Trade and Tourism sector and Dongnai Petrol Company.
