The 8th National Patriotic Emulation Congress

The Congress attracted 1,500 participants: 161 participants are
central emulation and rewarding council members and heads of emulation and
rewarding councils from ministries, committees, sectors and unions; 33
participants are People’s Armed Force representative heroes and national
patriotic emulation fighters and 1,001 participants are exemplary individuals in
all aspects of life and society.
Dong Nai congressional delegation composed of 18 members led by
Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the
Standing Committee at Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai.
The Congress is to evaluate the patriotic emulation movement,
the implementation of the government’s past-five-year rewarding structures and
the honoring and commendation of the patriotic emulation movement’s exemplary
individuals.
Simultaneously, the Congress set directions for innovations and
quality improvement of the emulation and rewarding work with the aim of making
contributions to the successful implementation of socio-economic development
tasks in 2011-2015 period.
Also, this Congress is an occasion to sum up and disseminate
exemplary individuals to the public, to launch a nationwide learn-from-examplary-individual
movement in all aspects and to associate this movement with the “Study and
follow the ethical example of President Ho Chi Minh” campaign.
Throughout two congressional days, the Congress will hold such
activities as organizing visits to the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh,
burning incense at the Monument of heroic martyrs, making summation reports on
patriotic emulation movement and 2006-2010 commendation and rewarding
implementation and establishing many exchange programs for congressional
delegations with the Central ministries, sectors and unions and those from Hanoi
city.
Vietnam Labor Confederation will host an exchange get-together
for congressional worker participants to the 8th National Patriotic Emulation
Congress on the afternoon of December 28.
