BioTech Center Dong Nai is constructed in Xuan Duong commune, CamMy district in 200-hectare area with total expense of more than VND1,000 billion. Up to now, some works have been taken on like interconnected roads in the center, low voltage power line, come experiment models, etc. For the project, in the first phase (2010-2015), it will focus on finishing construction of infrastructure including traffic, communication, power, administrative building, dorm, some sites for researching, applying and producing biotechnological products; it will construct and issue operation and investment attraction mechanism, apply biotech in producting plant seedlings and key domestic animals of the province, apply advanced biotech achievements in protecting and controlling environmental pollution, and focus on training and attracting human resources to the center.
Addressing the meeting, The Vice-Chairman affirmed that this was a major project and to speed up the progress, it was necessary to boost investment in some infrastructure works to have a fundamental to promote and call for investment. He also requested Department of Science and Technology to cooperate with departments and branches to produce documents to call for investment and make connection between scientific research themes and the project to speed up the project for early deployment.
