Science, Technology and Environment Committee Delegation of the National Assembly pays a visit and works with DOST

On April 30, the Science-Technology and Environment Committee Delegation of the National Assembly led by Mr. Dang Vu Minh, Member of Central Party Committee, Member of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee, the Chairman of the Science-Technology and Environment Committee paid a visit and worked with Dong Nai province Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Receiving and working with the delegation are Mr. Huynh Chi Thang, the Vice-chairperson of the provincial People’s Council, Ms. Huynh Thi Nga, the Vice-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee along with leaders of DOST.

The delegation and DOST have worked on study on information technology application systems used for management and operation, including digital signature, digital signature confirmation, electronic office (M-office), information technology application in bringing scientific and technological information to rural areas, for example, building stations supplying high speed transmission line VSAT-IP for places without ADSL service, scientific and technological data, training level A computer skill for wards and communes’ cadres and training human resources in science and technology, etc.

At the meeting, the delegation highly appreciated results that DOST has gained over the past time, especially effective information and technology applications in management and operation of science and technology activities in particular and its contributions in administrative reform practice to aim for province’s electronic administration and e-government.
