On the evening of May 19, Dong Nai Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee held a solemn ceremony to mark the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2010) and the 20th anniversary of his being recognized to be “Vietnamese Hero of National Liberation and Great Man of Culture” by UNESCO at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.  The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh – Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai People's Council; Mr. Vo Van Mot – Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien – Member of Dong Nai Standing Party Committee and Chairwoman of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee; Former Secretaries of Dong Nai Party Committee over their terms in office; heroic Vietnamese mothers and the comrades from Dong Nai Standing Party Committee; the leadership of departments, sectors and local authorities; senior revolutionary comrades, people’s armed forces and all classes of people in Dong Nai.
 
On the morning of June 8, Dong Nai People's Committee hosted a meeting to conduct an assessment of socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first half of 2010 and to issue instructions, allocate tasks and take measures for the second half of 2010. Mr. Vo Van Mot – Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee chaired the meeting.
 
On the morning of June 2, the delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs paid a working visit to Dong Nai. Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s  Committee, Dinh Quoc Thai, had a working session with the delegation.
 
After one day and a half, the 18th Congress of Dong Nai Provincial Party Executive Committee (Session VIII) closed on the morning of January 21.
 
On May 28, Dong Nai Farmers Association held its third meeting (2005-2010) for exemplary farmers at the provincial Events Center. The meeting was attended by Mr. Tran Van Lam – Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Farmers Association of Vietnam, Mr. Ao Van Thinh – Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee and 120 exemplary representatives.
 
On the morning of May 12, Department of Planning and Investment held the second model meeting about planning and investment in 2005-2009 period. Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee – Ao Van Thinh attended the meeting.
 
At 6 p.m, the ceremony to mark the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 20th anniversary of his being recognized to be “Vietnamese Hero of National Liberation and Great Man of Culture” by UNESCO will be taking place at Tran Bien Temple of Literature. The ceremony is expected to be broadcast live on Dong Nai Radio and Television.
 
 
On the morning of January 20, the 18th Congress of Dong Nai Provincial Party Executive Committee (Session VIII) to assess the implementation of Dong Nai Party Committee’s Resolution no. 11 on 2009 targets and tasks and to approve the draft resolution on 2010 targets and tasks took place at Dong Nai Party Committee hall. Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh – Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Secretary chaired the Congress.
 
On the morning of April 21, 2010, Long Khanh Party Committee, People's Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held the 35th anniversary ceremony of the Liberation Day of Xuan Loc and Long Khanh. The ceremony was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Trung Kien – Member of the Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Defense; Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh – Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai People's Council; Military Zone 7’s representative leadership, military units fighting in Xuan Loc and Long Khanh battlefield, heroic Vietnamese mothers and the masses.
