attended the new school year ceremony at Ngo Quyen high school in Bien Hoa city
on the morning of September 5.

letter of Dong Nai Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and
Fatherland Front Committee to teachers, students and pupils’ parents, students
and pupils, commending Ngo Quyen for the achievements that it has obtained.

Ngo Quyen reached most of the
targets it set and kept good teaching and learning in the 2009-2010 academic
year.
100 percent of students passed
the graduation exam in the 2009-2010 academic year.
Students with good and
satisfactory performance accounted for over 86.5 percent and 99.92 percent of
students achieved good and satisfactory moral performance.
Thirty two Ngo Quyen students won
the provincial-level excellence student award and two won the national-level
excellence student award.
Particularly, Ngo Quyen has
stayed on the list of the top 200 high schools with the largest number of
students passing the university entrance exam.
Ngo Quyen accepted an admission
of ten grade 10 classes with 444 students in 2010-2011 academic year, causing
its total number of students to amount to 1,335.

Scholarships are awarded to students |
On this occasion, many
organizations and individuals awarded scholarships with different values to
excellent but underpreviledged students.
In particular, Sacombank and FPT
granted 20 scholarships worth VND1 million (US$51.38) each and 10 scholarships
worth VND1 million (US$51.38) each, respectively. The school management awarded
10 scholarships to pupils and students with high academic performance.
In addition, local businesses
that are generous sponsors contributed VND50 million (US$2,569.36) to the
school’s Education Encouragement Fund.

Tam Hiep, a semi-public high
school, was converted into a public school one year ago. Tam Hiep made efforts
to increase the quality of teaching and learning in the 2009-2010 academic year.
Eighty percent of its grade 12
students passed the graduation exam and over 25 percent successfully entered
universities and colleges.
Tam Hiep accepts an admission of
434 grade 10 students with a required score of 34.5 in the 2010-2011 academic
year.
Presently, Tam Hiep has 500 grade
11 students, 492 grade 12 students, and 78 teachers.
To encourage students’ learning
spirit, each school year Tam Hiep offers 35 scholarships worth VND500,000
(US$25.69) each.
The money spent on scholarship is
taken from its Education Encouragement Fund.
“We shifted from a semi-public
school to a public school not long. So the input quality of grade 11 and 12
classes in the 2009-2010 academic year was not high. However, we will do our
best to improve the quality of teaching and learning and to increase the rate of
students passing the graduation exam and other exams into colleges and trade
schools” said Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Tam Hiep high school principal.
Le Quy Don Secondary School in
Bien Hoa held the new school year ceremony, the graduation ceremony and a
ceremony to show gratitude to teachers and students’ parents on the morning of
September 4.
These ceremonies were attended by
Member of the Standing Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front
Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien and Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee
Huynh Thi Nga.

In the 2009-2010 academic year,
Le Quy Don was honored to be one of three high schools in Dong Nai with a 100
percent graduation rate and with over 30% of students passing university and
college exams.
In addition to its continuous
investment in facilities, expansion in training and admission of primary and
junior secondary classes, Le Quy Don had its second facility put into operation
in Bien Hoa city.
In addition, Le Quy Don held a
graduation ceremony for more than 300 students and a ceremony to express
gratitude to teachers and students’ parents.
On this occasion, Dong Nai
People’s Committee awarded a certificate of merit to Le Quy Don school for its
100 percent graduation rate last academic year.
The school awarded the
certificates of merit and scholarships to those who were good students as well
as passed the university entrance exam.
In addition, it offered merit
certificates and rewards to teachers and heads of subject groups with high
achievement in the 2009-2010 academic year.

APC
International School teachers and students’ performance piece to
welcome the new academic year |
APC Dong Nai (in the network of
Asia Pacific International College) celebrated the 2010-2011 academic year on
the morning of September 3.
This is the first international
school in Dong Nai to come into operation.
Addressing the new school year
ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Binh, APC Dong Nai Principal said APC Dong Nai is the
first school in Dong Nai to use the syllabus designed by the Ministry of
Education and Training and American international standard syllabus
simultaneously.
APC teachers and students will
adhere to the Ministry of Education and Training’s guidelines, be determined to
fight against scandals and to promote educational development and constantly
strive to make APC students international citizens.
