The 18th Congress of Dong Nai People's Council (Session VII) was officially opened at the Government Agency Office Building on the morning of December 8.

This Congress is a required routine.
During the Congress, Dong Nai People's Council will consider and decide on Dong
Nai’s socio-economic development plans, estimate costs and determine its 2010
budget allocation. In addition, the Congress will decide on
policies and measures to implement the year 2010’s local budget and resolve
other issues within its duties and authority. It will mainly revolve around such
issues as the building of premium high schools; tuition and fees; the
establishment of a support regime for the province’s senior transferred staffs
and managers and of a preferential regime for the province’s IT staff and the
naming and renaming of the roads in Long Khanh, Long Thanh, Xuan Loc and Tan Phu
and
other issues as well.
The Congress will last three days.
