The project has been carried out since 2006 and its subjects are small and medium scale enterprises in five fields including paper and pulp production, ceramics, weaving and dying, brick production, and food processing. So far, after implemented in five years, the project has gained vital results, basically reaching targets set.
Specifically, 25 consulting and technology transfer organizations have been trained on technical knowledge, finance and business .Over 1,500 management and technical cadres of small and medium scale enterprises have been trained on profits of technological application, solutions for use of energy conservation, technology operation, energy saving devices.
Loan Guarantee Fund has guaranteed loan to 50 projects worth VND32 billion for enterprises to lend VND41 billion. Over 521 projects have been carried out with 180,000 TOE saved and a decrease of 740,000 tons of carbon dioxide. Moreover, that also helped form a market of energy conservation with involvement of small and medium scale enterprises, energy conservation service organizations, banks, credit organizations, etc.
