Apart from
traditional stable areas of engineering, education and training, agricultural
information technology over past years, solutions on electronics and
telecommunications have been put forward this year. These solutions do not
attain high ranks in the contest but indicate that in addition to environmental
issues telecommunications has drawn public attention. Also, other contest areas
such as chemistry, agriculture and environment assert Dong Nai’s strengths.
Most solutions
submitted for the contest have, the same as previous years, been applied
effectively in agencies, units and schools. The solutions are highly creative
and go together with high economic efficiency.

*Education:
strengths need maintaining
Programs to
promote innovations and creations have exerted strong effects on emulation
movements of all levels, sectors and workers from all walks of life. Examples of
good workers, learners and idea contributors appear in all sectors. In terms of
education and training, a strong emulation movement across the province has
emerged the past years. Many innovations which have been applied to the
operations of units have produced a lot of positive results. The innovations
have contributed to improving the quality of teaching and learning and to saving
time and money. Of 260 solutions of the program 6, 26 won prizes. Particularly,
24 educational solutions won prizes: IT application to designing on-line
education forums; rehearsal for children’s songs; IT application to scientific
discoveries and getting used to pre-school literature; children’s creative
story-telling and so on.
Among 260
solutions submitted for the contest, the "Some Types of Practical Problems in
Math and IT Applied Class Activities” solution put forward by Phan Thi Ly, a
young teacher from Huong Duong kindergarten school, won the first prize this
year. This is a system of exercises which is quite full of math problems and is
appropriate for all ages. The system of exercises and class activities goes
together with a data bank of photos, sounds and movies on various fields, which
is arranged logically and scientifically to help teachers apply IT to teaching
effectively.

The board of
examiners’ assessment is that the program is a useful solution to assist
teachers in applying IT to teaching smoothly and effectively, thereby gradually
facilitating child development associated with IT and satisfying kindergarten
and primary school children’s demand for fundamental math concepts.
Traffic
accidents are a pressing issue. That accidents occur every hour or even every
minute leaves families and society with a lot of damages. For this reason, the
“Softwares to Contribute to Raising High School Students’ Knowledge of Law and
Awareness of Traffic Safety” solution is considered as the great efforts of
Nguyen Hieu, a Thong Nhat B school teacher to enhance propaganda and education
for students and to help them increase their awareness of traffic rules. The
software with a storage capacity of over 400MB comprises main parts such as
traffic signs and road traffic rules. Multiple-choice driving tests are regarded
as a new solution, are rich in contents, are easy to update and can be applied
widely in middle and high schools. This software will be a data bank for
teachers to prepare traffic safety lessons and to make e-lesson plans more
diversified and lively without having to look for further materials from
outside. For students, they can use this software to broaden their knowledge on
road traffic rules, do multiple-choice exercises on their own after every class.
Answer keys and score calculating machines to measure users’ understanding are
available.
Through
contest movements, it can be affirmed that laborers from all walks of life in
society have used all their intelligence, developed their creativity to work out
and apply more and more technological solutions to practical production and life
and accelerated technological advancements and economic growth. For people from
all walks of life in Dong Nai, contest movements have grown steadily in quantity
and widely and become an intellectual playground that is useful and
indispensable.
