Based on cross-sectional study of samples from
586 children under six years old in kindergartens of Long Thanh district, Dinh
Quan district and Bien Hoa city, the results have showed that 96.93% of children
have been vaccinated against Hepatitis B via expanded program on immunization.
87.54% of them have been injected with the full dose and just 49.22% of them
have received the first hepatitis B vaccine injection within 24 hours of birth
and 1.02% have been infected with hepatitis B after vaccinated.
Thereby, the team also offered some
recommendations to promote communications, community health education about
hepatitis B vaccination and prevention and decrease rate of people vaccinated
behind schedule.
The theme has been agreed to review by
specialized council for science and technology and obtained fairly good results
