After initially surveying high-level mushroom flora in Cat Tien National Park in the 2004-2009 period, the research group identified more than 300 species of basidiomycetes, and revealed more than 90 new species of mushroom, over 20 new genera, one new family namely Bondarezwiaceae and one new ordo namely Bondarzewiales. There are more than 370 species (128 genera, 45 families, and 22 ordines). Moreover, about 60 new species of mushroom were discovered but not classified yet.

This research group also established a set of pictures about these new species of mushroom including more than 2000 digital images. Necessary analysis of some species was also carried out in order to prepare data for the flora of the Atlas – Cat Tien mushroom.
