Secretary of
Provincial Communist Youth group is granting first prizes to winners
This
competition is an annual event for the purpose of stimulating the computer
learning movement in teenages, finding out talent young computer users that are
able to become the important human resource for information technology
development throughout the province in the upcoming time. Concurrently, the
competition helped to select, train and form the selective team for the
forthcoming national competition.

The
competition includes 3 main sections: programming contest to test general
knowledge about computer and software, basic computer terms, graphic
application, document typing, pascal programming language,…; creative software
contest which requires competitor’s software to be creative and highly
applicable in the reality,…; fun contest that tests general knowledge, keyboard,
mouse using and computer assembling skill. Especially, in this year’s
competition, the organization board also adapted a partial content of Pocon
contest (Japanese Young Computer Association) for senior students.

As a result,
organization board granted prizes to 24 candidates including 3 first prizes, 3
second prizes, 6 third prize and 9 incentive prizes. Those who won the first
prizes are 3 candidates: Huynh Nguyen Minh Tri – studied at primary school at
Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quang Trung – studied at junior highschool at Bien Hoa, Luu Quang
Huy – studied at senior highschool at Bien Hoa. They will represent Dong Nai
province to participate in the amateur competition for young computer user taken
place in Ha Noi from 29th to 31st July 2009.
According to
Organization Board’s assessment, this year’s competition had many improvements
in contest content and form which have proved to be more professional. However,
most of candidates are still weak at programming skill and not well-trained at
programming language algorithm. Also, creative softwares are still few with only
3 participating products. The ideas are still simple, superficial and especially
deficient in creativeness. But the quality of the competition was quite high as
the content and form were designed professionally.
As one of
the students who participated in the competition for the first time, student
Pham Van Minh, 8th- grade student at Phan Boi Chau school, Xuan Loc
district was pleased to express his feeling: This is very meaningful and
interesting play field to those who are at my age. Participating in the
competition is the chance to meet and learn from other students. Thanks to the
competition, I have acquired new knowledge.
