
A section of the route is
expected to be invested on the Nhon Trach District inter-port road
Specifically, for Phuoc An Port area, the Ministry of Transport requested the
consulting unit to carefully study the planning of routes and turning areas to
ensure maritime safety when operating because this area is close to the
confluence of rivers and the expected location of Phuoc An Bridge construction.
Currently, the Ministry of Transport is implementing the project of dredging
the Cai Mep - Thi Vai Channel to the area of Phuoc An Port.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport requests the Provincial People's Committee
to speed up the construction of the inter-port route and attract investment in
the construction of ports in Phuoc An area, ensuring synchronization with the
completion of the channel and put into operation.
As for
the detailed plan of seaport Group 4, the Ministry of Transport basically
agreed with the proposal of the consulting unit for the detailed planning of
seaport Group 4 on the orientation of planning the port areas in the Dong Nai
Seaport, including: Phuoc An, Go Dau and Phuoc Thai wharves (on Thi Vai River);
Nhon Trach wharf area; Long Binh Tan wharf area (on Dong Nai River). The
Ministry of Transport also noted a number of contents including the specific
research on ship sizes for each wharf area by ship segment (transport to
intra-Asia, domestic transport), note the vertical clearance of bridges on the
route such as: Phuoc An Bridge, Dong Nai Bridge; expand and add functions for
Go Dau wharves, soon invest in Phuoc Thai Port, including a warehouse to supply
fuel for Long Thanh International Airport;
For
Nhon Trach wharf area, including the port area on Dong Nai River, Nha Be River,
the section from the Petroleum Depot 186 to the upstream (opposite Cat Lai
port) is planned in the direction of not planning more ports, concentrating on
planning for port development from the Petroleum Depot 186 towards downstream
of Nha Be River, Long Tau River, Dong Tranh River (plan for the vessel up to
45,000DWT or larger).
Long
Binh Tan wharf area with the function of a satellite area, a focal point for consolidating
goods for seaports in the region and serving local socio-economic development,
small ships with a tonnage of up to 5,000 DWT.
