Export
turnover of the province in the first 6 months of the year reached more than US$13.2 billion and increased 13% over the
same period. In the opposite direction, import turnover in 6 months reached
over US$10 billion. Thus, in the first 6 months of the year,
Dong Nai had a trade surplus of more than US$3.15
billion, an average trade surplus of US$500
million per month.
Production
and business recovered, but the socio-economic situation still faced many
difficulties. Due to the influence of the epidemic situation in the world,
political instability, and conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, petroleum
products have continuously "peaked" in price. Input materials for
manufacturing industries are scarce, prices have increased, the supply chain of
goods is still disrupted, etc. making the production and business
situation of enterprises and people's lives affected. Enterprises have higher
revenue and output but high input costs, leading to the profits reduced.
In
the first 6 months of the year, the average Consumer Price Index (CPI)
increased by 3.11% over the same period last year. In which, the traffic group
increased the most (+19.59%) because the price of gasoline and oil in the
country continued to increase; culture, entertainment and tourism increased
(+3.33%); housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials
increased by 2.83%. The remaining industries had low price index or decreased
over the same period.
