Results of the project to prevent juveniles from violating laws in Long Khanh Town

On December 28, in Long Khanh Town, the Provincial Management Board of the Project “Preventing juveniles from violating laws and supporting public re-integration” in coordination with the town People’s Committee and representatives of public security and justice sectors of the province held a conference to sum up one year of project implementation in the town.

Funded by the Vietnam Plan
non-governmental Organization, the project was carried out in two communes of
Xuan Tan and Bao Vinh and Long Khanh Town. After one year of implementation, it
made a survey of 418 subjects, 355 of whom had treating records of the public
security (accounting for 85%), 63 law violators at risk (accounting for 15%).
Staffs and students of the two communes paid a visit to the rehabilitation
school. Over 1,000 students participated in the contest of learning legal
knowledge and law-breaking behaviors, and training skills for 26 collaborators.
In addition, 20 other students were consulted and had jobs.
