Provincial leaders are listening to reports on Tet holidays
|
According to Department of Trade
and Industry, throughout the period before, during and after Tet holidays, it
implemented cost control measures, inspection and market stability control quite
seriously to meet local residents’ needs of essential goods.
No speculation, goods shortage,
soaring prices and price increase occurred thanks to good supplies preparation
and price stability measures.
In terms of assisting workers in
going back home for Tet holidays and ensuring traffic safety during Lunar New
Year days, Department of Traffic and Transportation said that 114 buses were
rented to bring workers home safely for Tet holidays.
Up to now, more than 50 vehicles
have arrived in Dong Nai.
In 2011, thanks to taking
initiative to ask neighboring authorities to cooperate before Tet holidays,
overload vehicle violations via Dong Nai went down quickly.
Only twenty one vehicles’ load
had to be lowered and nine back-up vehicles were used.
However, February 6, in
comparison with last year, traffic accident victims rose against last year
mainly due to the railway accident that occurred on the Ghenh bridge in Bien Hoa
city.
In addition, outpatients and
inpatients grew higher than the previous years.
Other tasks such as bringing Tet
holidays to workers and government policy beneficiaries were well done.
Recreational activities, overseas
Vietnamese reception, power supply throughout the Lunar New Year were carefully
and safely organized.
Addressing the meeting, Vice
Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai highly
appreciated the efforts and initiative of sectors and local authorities to
prepare for and to bring an economical, safe and quite happy Tet holidays to
people in the province.
Also, Thai reminded departments,
sectors and local authorities to draw experience from what they did not do well
and quickly begin to perform tasks in 2011.
