With strategic
location, Nhon Trach district was approved to be the Southern key economic zone
in 1996. By 2006, the Government had decided to approve the adjustment of
detailed plan of Nhon Trach new city centre project toward 2020. Accordingly,
Nhon Trach new city has become a center of technology, commercial, service,
tourism, educational and technological science of Dong Nai province.
Then on June
8, 2009, Nhon Trach new city centre was officially approved to start work with a
total planning area of 600ha. The project will be established on the main
traffic roads of 25C, 7 and 6.
The project
includes infrastructure, residential areas and public construction such as
administrative centre with an area of over 29ha. Moreover, over-23ha cultural
works will be also built including municipal theatre, central culture house,
exhibition and convention centre, municipal museum, and children’s culture
house. The residential apartments cover an area of 252ha.
The investment
of new Nhon Trach urban city will be classified into 4 phrases from now to 2020.
In the first phrase (from now to 2013), land planning will be completed with the
development of 27ha and 25ha areas and the construction of one part of the new
city. In the second phrase (2013 -2015), the urban centre on 25C road and
average density residential area will be finished. The high density residential
area in the South-West will be developed in the third phrase (2015-2018). And
the last phrase (2018-2020), the remaining areas will start construction.
