National
Road No.51 will be expanded |

BVEC reported that National Road No.51 expansion
project was expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2009.
However, there are still some problems that need to be solved in order to carry
out the project as scheduled. The project has to face difficulties in land
compensation and site clearance. As planned, only some expansion parts across
Long Thanh town, pedestrian overpass and some traffic points are provided land
compensation funds.
On the other hands, the remaining removal site is
narrow (about 2.5m), so it is very difficult to remove and start construction.
Therefore, BVEC suggested that the provincial People’s Committee should ask the
coordination of related units in implementing compensation and site clearance
and building resettlement plan so that the project will be carried out as
scheduled.
