Combating smugglings, counterfeit goods and commercial frauds showed results

Following the guidelines from the Steering Committee 127/TW and the provincial People’s Committee, the Steering Committee 127 of Dong Nai province has actively collaborated with the agencies, committees, sectors in implementing the plans to combat smugglings, counterfeit goods, market speculation, violations of the price posting rules, violations of the industrial property rights, shoddy goods, commercial frauds and violations of the food safety and hygiene rules.

The summation of the action program of the Steering Committee 127/DP

    In 2008, results showed that the Steering Committee of the program 127 investigated 7,033 violation cases including 6,546 handled cases, an increase of 435 cases over the same period last year. 7 cases are still pending. 10 cases, a decrease of 4 cases compared to 2007, were transferred to the criminal investigation agency. In particular, the inter-sector inspection team of 127 provinces brought a prosecution against 5 cases and 5 forestry cases. The police prosecuted 52 accused in 27 cases. The total amount of fines was more than VND187 billion, an increase of VND17 billion. The violations got involved in 19 cases of the prohibited goods, an increase of 5 cases – 217 cases of the counterfeit goods, a decrease of 75 cases – 89 cases of the illegally imported goods, a decrease of 110 cases and 6,221 cases of the commercial frauds, an increase of 620 cases compared to the same period of 2007.
