An Income VND9 Million or Less is Tax-Exempt

Ministry of Finance has asked to adopt tax-exemption from August 1 to December 2011 for those whose income is generated from salary and who do business with income under level 1 in the tariff, i.e. less than VND9 million per month without any dependent.

Accordingly, the earnings that meet tax-free requirements include employees without dependent with a monthly income of VND9 mil or less; those who have VND5.6-10.6 mil earning with one dependent; and VND7.2-12.2 mil for those with two dependents.
