Blue-eared pig disease that breaks out in some localities across the province tends to be complicated, causing a drop in price of pork in the market. In turn, prices of all fresh food rise, especially seafood, fowl, beef, produces, etc.

White fowl prices in Dong Nai
province has risen to VND34 to VND35 thousand/kg, Tam Hoang fowl at VND45 to
VND46 thousand/kg while the white fowl price used to be at about VND22 to VND23
thousand/kg and Tam Hoang fowl at VND29 to VND30 thousand/kg. As fowl prices
rise, many farms now want to recover their investments and make profits, but
breeding chickens in the market are so scarce. Chicken prices have increased
from VND2,000/chick to more than VN10,000/chick. According to the Department of
Agriculture and Rural Development, breeding chickens would remain scarce in a
long time.
