Meeting |
Over the past
five years, local anti-corruption and anti-waste movements have achieved a lot
of significant results.
Departments and
sectors have followed anti-corruption and anti-waste regulations required by law
in a timely manner. Particularly, making agencies, organizations, and units’
operations to public has been carried out seriously.
Making a list of
officers and public servants’ properties and income has been done.
Salary,
allowance, and bonus structures are frequently reviewed and amended.
Inspection over
anti-corruption and anti-waste campaign has been intensified and focused on main
contents.
Corruption
scandals have legally been discovered and dealt with.
Though
anti-corruption and anti-waste activities have changed for the better, there
have remained weaknesses; for example, inspection sessions conducted at
agencies, organizations, and units under levels of People’s Council’s
supervision.
Most of
corruption cases were found and dealt with thanks to inspection times and
masses.
Leadership and
management roles concerning anti-corruption and anti-waste of some levels of
Party Committee and authorities have not taken in shape.
The
problem-solving progress of several corruption-related cases has remained slow,
There have
existed a lot of weaknesses in the quality of work of many agencies and units.
Addressing the
meeting, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh emphasized that
in the forthcoming time levels of authorities and sectors are required to be
more determined to fight against corruption and waste, to continue taking
effective measures against corruption, to take initiative to discover and deal
with officers’ mistakes seriously, to enhance propaganda and educational
activities, and to promote the strength of the whole political system and
community in the battle against corruption.
