DDNRE reported that in spite of newly being put into
operation, Dong Nai Environment Protection Fund (DEPF) has achieved good result
with a total fund of nearly VND30 billion. As of April 1, 2009, 6 projects were
licensed to get loans from the Fund with a loan capital of VND10,845 billion;
accounting for 36.4%. In 2009, the Fund plans to deal with 100% of loan
documents belonging to the list of documents which is expected to provide loans;
more than 50% of arising documents registering to get loans; and 100% of
documents will be provided enough funds in according to their implementation
process.
Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman Ao Van
Thinh said that it was necessary for the Fund to encourage the contribution from
enterprises. Accordingly, the Fund needs to clearly know its expenditure and
activities so that it can suitably work out its disbursement as well as can
access to different sources of fund, serving the environmental protection.
Another way to solve the lacking of fund is to get loans from Vietnam
Environment Protection Fund.
