Industrial zones and complexes boom

According to the report released by the provincial People’s Committee, 3 industrial zones across the province were granted investment licenses in 2007, including Bau Xeo IZ (500 ha), Tan Phu IZ (54 ha) and the Agtex Long Binh IZ (47 ha), raising the total number of industrial zones in the province to 24 ones.

  At present, the total area of 24 industrial zones is 6,496 ha. Apart from 24 aforementioned industrial zones, the Prime Minister has approved the plan for industrial zone development from now to 2015 and accepted the establishment of 6 industrial zones (Loc An and Binh Son IZ (500 ha); Long Duc IZ (280 ha); Ong Keo IZ  (800 ha); Long Khanh IZ (300 ha); Giang Dien IZ  (500 ha); and  Dau Giay IZ  (300 ha)).

    In addition, Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Donataba) and Donafoods which serve the development of agriculture in rural areas and process safe food products were approved for investment, and investors are now deploying their plans.

     As for industrial complex, the province supplemented 8 industrial complexes for planning with the area of around 393 ha. Accordingly, Until now, 47 industrial zones in the province have been clearly planned with total area of 2,136 ha. One industrial complex has finished infrastructure investment (Ho Nai 3 Industrial Complex for Building Materials), infrastructure of 3 industrial complexes are being constructed , and Suoi Tre 1 Industrial Complex granted investment license will be put into operation in November 2007.
