According to the report made by DDNRE from 2006 till now, the province has
granted 44 mineral exploitation certificates with a total area of 1,777.53ha,
accounting for 90.2%; 918ha/1,129ha was surveyed and exploited on large scale
(43.11%); and 83.06 ha/1,424 ha was granted the exploitation certificates on
small scale (5.83%). Meanwhile, the People’s Committee in districts granted 48
exploitation certificates to collect construction filler materials with a total
area of 374.619m2. Marking for mineral resource planning in districts
helps enterprises to more actively survey and exploit the mineral resources
areas. However, the adjustment of mineral resource planning in 2006 met some
difficulties, say, some mineral mines finished exploitation but have not yet
been closed to change the use purpose. Therefore, adjusting and supplementing
the planning on mineral explotation and processing in the province will
contribute to stablilize the supply of mineral resources for the period after
2010, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development in localities.
