Dong Nai nominates four students to participate in National Young Informatics Contest 2011

These four students are the top winners of the fifth Dong Nai Young Informatics Contest that took place in the afternoon of July 27, including Le Quang Tung- the first prize of primary schools, Luong Tan Khang- the first prize of junior high schools, Luu Quang Huy- the first prize of senior high schools and Ngo Kim Phu- the special prize. All of them were selected to compete in the seventeenth National Young Informatics Contest to be held in Ho Chi Minh city in the early August this year.
Dong Nai Young Informatics Contest is co-organized by Department of Education and Training, Department of Science and Technology, Dong Nai Radio and Television Station, Department of Information and Communication and Dong Nai Informatics Association, held periodically every year and aimed at encouraging younger people to study and learn about informatics, developing extensively the movement and promoting information and technology application to serve industrialization and modernization of the province. With the contest, younger people with a gift for informatics can be selected and fostered, and grouped to join the National Young Informatics Contest.

 
Contestants do practice test on the computer
This year, the contest attracted 184 students from districts, communes and cities to participate. They are grouped into three: Group A for primary, B for junior and C for senior. In each group, contestants will compete in two tests, multiple choice and practice on the computer with increased level of difficulty relative to levels. The tests will be about information technology, basic computer terms, operating system, app programs on the computer for group A, programming based on Pascal language to assist problem solution for the other two groups.      

 
Winners receive certificates of merits
In conclusion, the organization board has decided to award four prizes of consolation, one third prize, one second prize and one first prize for group A; three prizes of consolation, two third prizes, one second prize and one first prize for group B; three prizes of consolation, two third prizes, one second prize and one first prize for group C.  

Particularly, in software innovation test, there was only one work for competition, but due to its high level of creation and potential application, the organization board agreed to award the first prize to two contestants Le Quang Hung and Hoang Trong Dung, who are work co-authors.
