World Population Day 2011: The World at 7 Billion

This is the global message that the UN Population Fund’s (UNFPA) emphasize on World Population Day.
Message on World Population Day 2011 is “The World at 7 Billion”

Celebrating annual anniversary of World Population Day is an opportunity for every country and humanity to review our efforts in population control, in turn, continue proposing effective policies and solutions to meet the goals of population and development in the socioeconomic development strategies of each country and humanity.
World Population Day 2011 will focus on major issues on population in the situation where the world nations are making overall development programs and plans, seeking for appropriate solutions to the world having a number of opportunities as well as facing numerous challenges.
According to General Department of Population and Family Planning, Ministry of Health, World Population Day 2011 starts on July 11 with a global communications campaign with certain important events, such as launching World Population Day 2011 campaign, 7-Day Countdown to 7 Million and the World at 7 Million, and proclaiming the world population data sheet.

All seven billion of us, and those who follow, depend on the health of our planet. 6. Lower fertility and longer lives add up to an unprecedented challenge: ageing populations. 7. The next two billion people will live in cities, so we need to plan now.
