English Olympic Contest for primary school pupils ended: Three contestants of Bien Hoa won first prizes

On May 15 morning, the Provincial Department of Education and Training held the awarding and closing ceremony of English Olympic Contest for primary school pupils in 2008-2009.

The English Olympic Contest for
primary school pupils occurred on April 14, 2009 with the participation of 122
primary school pupils from 11 districts, a town and city in the province. As a
result, the Organization Board chose 16 contestants to be awarded (3 first
prizes, 4 second ones, 3 third ones and 6 encouragement ones), and these pupils
would be chosen as the provincial selected team that will take part in the
upcoming area-level contest. Among these, three first prizes were given to three
examinees from Bien Hoa City, including Bui Hoang Chi Nhan – class 5\5 of Tam
Hiep A primary school, Ho Trong Nhan – class 5\8 of Tan Mai one and Nguyen Duc
Tai – class 5\6 of Nguyen Du one. In addition, the Board of Examiners awarded
the first collective prize to the Office of Education and Training of Long Khanh
Town, the second to Bien Hoa City and the third to Vinh Cuu District.
The contest was aimed at encouraging primary school
pupils to positively study English in the optional English program released by
the MOET.
