Awarding 240 “Ajinomoto – Take you to school” scholarships to poor but excellent students

On September 18, at Dong Nai Pedagogy College, the Provincial Study Encouragement Association in coordination with Ajinomoto Vietnam Co. held the 7th “Ajinomoto – Take You To School” scholarship awarding ceremony. It was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien – Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and chairman of the province’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Vice-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh and Mr. Nguyen Van Dung – Standing member of the provincial People’s Council.

The 7th “Ajinomoto – Take You To
School”, totally worth VND250 millions (including scholarships, schoolbags,
books and gifts), was granted to 240 poor but studious students in the province,
consisting of 190 ones for primary and secondary school pupils (VND800,000 for
each) and 50 ones for high school students (VND1,200,000 for each).
As known, this scholarship fund
was established in 2004 to help needy students in Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and
Ha Noi. In 2010, Ajinomoto Vietnam Co. has spent VND2,7 billion on carrying out
social programs.
