Dong Nai boosts construction of social housing

On October 1 morning, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai asked leaders of Department of Construction to boost the construction process of social housing. He said that the province has more than 250,000 workers in need of housing among 390,000 workers employed in industrial clusters and zones.

However, the social housing development project in
Dong Nai province till 2010 and a vision toward 2020 and other housing projects
have so far faced some shortcomings. Vice-Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai suggested that
Department of Construction should closely cooperate with authorities in
localities and enterprises to boost the social housing development, ensuring
stable and qualified houses for 30% of workers by 2010.
