Dong Nai gets Japan’s support to build residential area for workers

On October 29, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai had a working session with representatives of The Japanese Business Association of HCMC (JBAH) on the implementation of an action plan for the third phase of the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative (VJJI) regarding the construction of residential area for workers in Dong Nai.

The residential project,
funded by Japanese ODA capital, is expected to provide accommodation and create
a comfortable living environment for workers in industrial zones in Dong Nai.

Thai affirmed that Dong Nai will make its best to ensure the project to be
implemented properly and effectively.
Launched by the two
Governments in April 2003, the VJJI aims to improve Vietnam’s investment
environment and its competitiveness. The first phase was implemented from
December 2003 to November 2005 and the second phase, from July 2006 to November
2007.
