227 provincial chief officers awarded B-Level informatics certificate

On April 15 afternoon, Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held the closing ceremony of informatics class for province’s chief officers. Attendees involve Huynh Van Toi, Head of the provincial Department of Propaganda and Training, Head of Program 6, a program to train, improve informatics and foreign language skills, public relation knowledge for chief officers.

In 2010, DOST in cooperation with Department of Internal Affairs, related sectors and branches, Lac Hong University along with Districts’ Vocational Training centers held 14 B Level informatics classes for chief officers.  

Attending the training class, learners are equipped with knowledge about informatics, including Microsoft Access, table and relation, data interrogation, form, report and command.

There have been over 400 learners who are leaders of province-level departments, sectors and branches, as well as heads and deputy heads of districts’ specialized offices. After the course, 277 learners passed and got B Level certificate, in which there are 132 ones with good level, 92 ones with fair level, and 53 ones with limited level.    

Addressing the closing ceremony, Head of provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi stressed that learners in the course needed to promptly apply knowledge in the course in their work and management in their units and apply information technology to enhance their work performance.
