On November 29 afternoon, the provincial Committee for Propaganda and Education held a conference to deploy plan no. 153/2010/ KH-TU of the provincial Party Committee for Instruction 42/2010/CT-TW “Continuation of renovation and promotion of operation effectiveness of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association in the course of the nation’s industrialization and modernization promotion” passed by the fifth tenure Politburo. Huynh Van Toi, Standing Member of Central Party Committee, Member of Standing Party Committee, Head of the provincial Committee for Propaganda and Education chaired the conference. Conference attendants include Huynh Thi Nga, Vice-Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and key cadres of departments, branches, sectors and unions.

Accordingly, it is aimed at raising awareness of cadres, party members, sectors, levels about role of the provincial Union of Science and Technology Association,  helping them fully grasp standpoints of the Party, targets and solutions for continuation of renovation and promotion of operation quality and effectiveness of the Union in the course of nation’s modernization and industrialization promotion. 

 Also, it is to promote leadership and direction of the Party at levels, authority for the Union, specify standpoints, targets and solutions approved in Instruction no. 42/2010 to specific programs and plans, assuring and creating favorable conditions so that the Union can fulfill its functions and duties well, etc. and to try to gather sixty percent of intellectuals of the province to join the union and develop it into a strong political-social organization that plays a key role in gathering, uniting and bringing into full play intellectuals’ creativity to strive to gather eighty percent intellectuals to join the union by 2020.
