On the morning of December 23, almost 300 delegations attended the seminar “To narrow digital gap for rural areas by 2010” co-organized by the provincial Department of Information and Communications, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Associations of Farmers, Post Office and VNPT Dong Nai. Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh attended it.

The program to introduce information technology to agriculture, rural areas and farmers has been co-organized by the provincial Department of Information and Communications, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Associations of Farmers, Post Office and VNPT Dong Nai since 2008, contributing to increase in people’s awareness about applications of information technology in agricultural production activities and socio-economic development.
At the seminar, representatives have listened to some outcomes of deploying cooperative program to introduce information technology to agriculture, rural areas and farmers in 2008-2010 and presentations of processes of building trade marks for agricultural products and success in information technology applications in some typical units and farms, etc.
